The aura of an angel

This rectangular lamp with its ecru-coloured laid paper lampshade gives off a soft light. The printed design represents an angel based on old engravings. The switch and cable are transparent.

The baroque style of the 17th and 18th centuries gave a special place to little guardian angels with childish fat cheeks; winged cherubs were a common feature in paintings and sculptures. Have fun discovering these little cupids in the Marble Courtyard and the Royal Courtyard of the Château de Versailles.
