A historic and trendy cushion cover

The pattern of this cushion cover is based on a series of works by the painters Charles le Brun and Der Meulun between 1665 and 1680, entitled "History of the King", depicting the history of the army of Louis XIV.

This cushion cover was woven on a Jacquard loom, a weaving loom developed in 1801 by Joseph Marie Jacquard. This machine weaves with needles, perforated cards and a cylinder. The perforated cards guide the needles in producing complex patterns.
