On the Spice Road

This graceful broach coloured gold and brown in the shape of a star anise flower is a creation of the artiste La Fille du Consul. Each one is hand moulded in polymer clay so that it is a unique piece. The Court of Versailles received quantities of exotic botanical specimens brought back from faraway voyages made by the East India Company, Bougainville and La Pérouse.
