This artist’s book arose from a remarkable dialogue between artist Olafur Eliasson and graphic designer Irma Boom, and accompanies the exhibition Olafur Eliasson Versailles, on view in the palace and gardens of Versailles from 5 June to 30 October 2016. Taking readers on an unpredictable journey, the book offers a subjective view of the baroque palace and its formal gardens. Essays by the philosopher Christine Buci-Glucksmann and Alfred Pacquement, curator of the exhibition, develop ideas raised by the exhibition, weaving them into a larger context and historical background.
