This notebook is part of the range of products designed in connection with the National Equestrian Academy of the Estate of Versailles.

The cover shows the equerries of the Equestrian Arts Academy in a performance with a group of sorraias, small Portuguese horses, working on a long rein in the Grand Écurie arena.

Part of the interior of the arena can also be seen. Furnished with wood and mirrors and built in a proscenium layout, its design was based on the Teatro Farnese theatre and allows the riders to move around easily. The modifications made during the renovation in 2002, organised by the Architect Patrick Bouchain, were all designed for the horses’ well-being. The stalls, for example, were replaced with simpler ones which were more comfortable.
