The pattern shows the celebrated bronze statue of the Sun King erected in 1836 by Louis Petitot at the request of king Louis-Philippe I in the main courtyard of the Château de Versailles. Following restoration work, the statue was moved and can now be admired on the Place d'Armes (parade ground) in front of the Château de Versailles.
