Delicately painted by hand, this figurine for a child represents Marie Antoinette, queen of France in her official royal costume inspired by the portrait painted by Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun in 1778. The original painting is preserved by the Museum and Estate of Versailles and Trianon.
