This jigsaw puzzle shows the famous painting by Hyancinthe Rigaud, Portrait of Louis XIV at the age of 63.

Louis XIV was France’s longest reigning monarch: 72 years. During his reign, he reformed France’s administrative and financial organisation and developed trade and manufacturing. He was very rigorous and established strict etiquette at the Court of Versailles with regular daily ceremonials. He built the Palace of Versailles and died there on 1 September 1715.
