This sunshade forms part of the line designed by Jean Michel Bouleau for the Château de Versailles, consisting of a geometric monogram inset in a medallion which is itself part of a floral pattern. This monogram is inspired by a wall decoration in the Queen's boudoir in the Petit Trianon.
