Earrings with crocheted orange blossom

35,12

These hand-crocheted earrings celebrate the orange trees of the Orangerie and particularly the 900 orange trees of the Palace of Versailles. A masterpiece of the architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the Orangerie and its garden feature orange trees from Portugal, Spain and Italy, as well as lemon and pomegranate trees, some of them over 200 years old.

The metal clasps are silver-plated.

Each motif features a crocheted blooming orange blossom entirely hand-stitched following the tradition of crochet techniques using cotton thread.

This piece of jewellery is part of a line of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings also on sale in the Boutique: so you can make up an entire matching set!
