1st September, 1715, the bells can be heard ringing everywhere in Paris... King Louis XIV is dead. His death marks the end of a 72-year reign, the longest reign in France history.
Upon the tercentenary celebrations of this death, the Palace of Versailles holds the exhibition Le Roi est mort (The King is dead), until 21st February, 2016. The exhibition displays Louis XIV's last days, the rituals that directly followed his death and eventually the royal funerals at the Basilica Cathedral of Saint Denis.

This bag was created on the occasion of the exhibition "The King is dead". It belongs to an elegant and sober collection of products which declines the royal emblems and pays tribute to the spirit of the Sun King.
