Saffron has been known about since the crusades and even as early on as Antiquity. But it was not until the 18th century that saffron-growing became widespread.
This preserve is perfect served with cheese, desserts or ice cream, but is also ideal with Foie Gras to accompany an aperitif, on blinis or bread.
You can also use it in cooking with duck breast, duck aiguillettes, white meat, for a pie base or with pancakes or pastries. In any case, be creative and follow your imagination!
