Your own "curiosities"

This box of pictures contains a series of 6 framed engravings of anatomical plates of insects and sea shells brought back from faraway travels. These engravings refer to the unusual objects presented in the "cabinets of curiosities" of the 16th and 17th centuries. These rooms contained rare or strange objects from the animal, vegetable and mineral world, as well as man-made objects.
