This print was produced by an engraving technique consisting in using aquatints and dry points on paper. Here the artist has chosen to use delicate materials to depict a gondola being navigated on the lagoon of Venice.

From 24 June to 17 July 2011, the palace of Versailles has hosted the Venice Vivaldi Versailles festival to mark the completion and release of the complete recordings of the works of Vivaldi.
