"Marie Antoinette" pagoda sunshade

95,00

For a stroll in the park

This sunshade whose canopy is shaped like a pagoda and decorated with a flounce is light and particularly sturdy: it has 8 high-density ribs linked to as many struts. The shaft has a pompon and ends in a handle shaped like a knot. It opens automatically.

For centuries, women used a sunshade to protect their complexion from the sun. This sunshade forms part of the line designed by Jean Michel Bouleau for the Château de Versailles, consisting of a geometric monogram inset in a medallion which is itself part of a floral pattern. This monogram is inspired by a wall decoration in the Queen's boudoir in the Petit Trianon.
