"King's Way" (Allée du Roy) porcelain jar candle

This porcelain jar candle is decorated with cornflowers surrounded by laurel crowns and gilt edging. The cover is closed with a gilt clasp. Once lit, the candle will give off a sweet scent of vanilla. You will also find in the Online Boutique a holder for tea bags decorated with the same pattern.

Limoges porcelain is manufactured according to a technique dating from the 18th century. This jar is manufactured by the Maison Raynaud, a family-run company that has perpetuated the tradition of Limoges porcelain since the 19th century.

The cornflower pattern has been used for porcelain since the 18th century when it was the flower symbol of queen Marie-Antoinette's reign.
