The yew tree belongs to the history of the palace of Versailles. Not only did yew trees adorn the gardens of the palace, clipped according to the topiary art, but they also inspired Louis XV for the grand ball held to celebrate the wedding of the Dauphin and the Spanish Infanta Maria Theresa. It was at the Yew Ball that the love affair between Louis XV and the future Marquise de Pompadour began.

Modelled by a Provencal craftsman, these terracotta crib figurines (santons) comply with the charter certified by the Santons de Provence label. They are sold exclusively in the Online Boutique. Each figurine measures 9,5 cm.

Notice to collectors: a set of six crib figurines representing the gardens of the palace of Versailles is available in the Online Boutique of the palace.
