"The edifice, built on an island of the English river, stands on a base to which seven steps lead. Twelve Corinthian columns support a dome of Conflans stone, covered in lead painted to imitate the stone. The floor of the temple is the work of marble-maker Le Prince and is composed of red-veined white marble from the Languedoc region and marble from the Flanders region."
