This book offers a visual stroll through the Estate of Versailles, its Palace, gardens and Park and the Estate of Trianon, while recounting the history of the Palace of Versailles and, between the lines, the history of France: the Cour d'honneur, Royal Chapel, Opera, Hall of Mirrors and Grand Apartments of the King and Queen, along with their furniture, works of art, paintings, sculptures, parterres and ponds, the Grand Trianon, the Queen's Hamlet' All the riches of Versailles are superbly photographed and enhanced by the uncluttered and decidedly modern page layout. A very handsome book that recreates the magnificence of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

After working as a curator in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, followed by the Musée Fabre in Montpellier, Valérie BAJOU is currently a curator in the Palace of Versailles.
