Green "Dames de la Cour" hanger
8.25 € tax excl.
The design on this hanger reproduces the hangings in Madame Adélaïde’s chamber in the Mesdames' Apartments. Adélaïde d’Orléans, the daughter of Louis-Philippe-Joseph d’Orléans and Louise-Marie-Adélaïde de Bourbon-Penthièvre, became Madame Adélaïde when her elder brother, Louis-Philippe d’Orléans, became King of the French in 1930. Passionate about politics, she was unofficial advisor to her brother until her last breath. Barely two months after her death in December 1847, the July Monarchy was overthrown by a revolution that shook the whole of Europe.
This hanger is part of a series of accessories available from the online shop.
