This bracelet shows a portrait of Marie-Adélaïde de France, also known as Madame Adélaïde making knots, one of Louis XV's daughters. She is 24 years old. This portrait of the princess is one of the many portraits painted by Jean-Marc Nattier (1685-1766), the official court portraitist to the royal family.

The "Dames de la Cour" collection uses portraits of the famous Ladies of the court put on a flowery background, reminiscent of the Palace's tapestries.
