The Carrera marble bust of Marie-Antoinette was produced in 1783 by Félix Lecomte, one of the most talented artists of the time. The Queen of France is represented in all the dignity required of her position. She wears the Royal coat, and her tall wig, in fashion at the time, is decorated with flowers. Around her neck, the queen wears a medallion with Louis XVI's profile.
