Tablecloth - Rigaud x Gaëlle Constantini

120,00

The result of a collaboration between the palace of Versailles and Gaëlle Constantini, a young French brand specializing in "upcycling" (a process that consists in giving a new life to a second-hand object), this magnificent tablecloth was made from the exceptional fabrics used in the scenography of the exhibition "Hyacinthe Rigaud ou le portrait Soleil". It is part of a complete range of picnic accessories (bottle holder, dish holder, cutlery case and bag) as well as a decorative collection composed of three cushion covers, each available in two different colors.

Gaëlle Constantini has been designing clothes and accessories in upcycled fabrics since 2009. She strives to handcraft each of her collections, which are designed and made in France. A second life is thus given to the fabrics of Pier Luigi Pizzi's scenography, which has chosen to decline thirteen times a fabric developed with the famous Venetian house Rubelli. Inspired by the colors of Hyacinthe Rigaud's palette, this fabric was made with golden thread to evoke the refinement of the court of Versailles.

This approach is part of the will, already carried for several years by the palace of Versailles, to reuse certain materials related to exhibitions and construction sites: signage, scenography or decorative tarpaulins.
