"Angelina" Mix for hot chocolate "à l’ancienne" - tin box

This powdered preparation for “old fashioned” hot chocolate is to be mixed with hot water or milk (75 g powder in 150 mL milk or water) and should be totally diluted before consuming. Drink quickly after reconstitution.

Chocolate reached France in 1615 at the wedding of Louis XIII, but it was Louis XIV who made it popular at Court. Later on, Louis XV was recognised as a great fan of this drink and sometimes prepared it himself in the kitchens of his Private Apartments.

You can find all the Angelina products at the Angelina tea rooms at the Palace of Versailles and the Petit Trianon.

Ingredients: Sugar, cocoa powder, cocoa paste, cocoa butter, low-fat cocoa powder, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder.
