The 2022 Trianon honey

Since 2019, as part of its management plan for the Estate and its environmental approach, the Palace of Versailles has installed nine beehives within the Trianon Estate, in the Potager de la Reine. Now you can taste the honey from the 2022 harvest: sweet, smooth, liquid and licorious!

This honey blends several fresh and herbaceous flavours of summer flowers but also sweetness of lime, enhanced by the very sweet taste of clover as well as a slight stronger hue of chestnut. Produced by black bees from Ile-de-France, a local breed of bees, this honey contributes to the preservation of local species and biodiversity.
